UAE National Day: 4-day weekend holiday announced

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has declared December 2 and 3, 2024, as official paid holidays for all private sector employees in the UAE, in celebration of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad. This announcement is in line with a circular issued by the Ministry, which follows the Cabinet’s decision on the approved public holidays for both government and private sectors in 2024.

Families and friends can use this weekend as a time to celebrate. An array of events are lined up, followed by fireworks, offers, and more. Residents are already marking their calendars. Industries are seeing a surge in travel demand, with many taking this break to rejuvenate and escape.

Expo City Dubai’s Terra and Vision pavilions will celebrate with the theme “Honouring the Past, Preserving the Future” from November 30 to December 3. Visitors can enjoy a 53% discount on Attractions Pass tickets, available at the box office. The Vision Pavilion will highlight the UAE’s cultural heritage through traditional activities, while the Terra Pavilion will offer nature-focused, interactive experiences centered on sustainability.

From malls and parks to every corner of the country, there’s something to discover. The official ceremony, which will bring together the nation’s rulers and leaders, is set to take place in the stunning city of Al Ain.
