Trump Appoints Susie Wiles As First Woman White House Chief Of Staff

US President-elect Donald Trump recently announced that his campaign manager, Susie Wiles, will be appointed as his new White House Chief of Staff. At 67 years old, Wiles is the first woman ever to hold this prestigious role in US history.

Just two days after his election victory, Trump praised Wiles in a statement, calling her “tough, smart, innovative” and noting that she was an essential part of both his successful 2016 and 2020 campaigns. “Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history,” Trump said.

Not only this but Trump also gave a special mention to Wiles during his victory speech on Wednesday. “We call her the ice baby, Susie likes to stay in the background,” he joked, highlighting her important behind-the-scenes role in the campaign.

US Vice President-elect JD Vance weighed in, calling the appointment “great news.” He praised Wiles as a “huge asset” to Trump, adding she is just a “really good person.”

Susie Wiles, daughter of the legendary football player and sportscaster Pat Summerall has established herself as a prominent figure in Florida politics and beyond. In addition to her early work, Wiles made contributions, most notably, by helping Governor Ron DeSantis secure his victory in 2018. Her expertise and strategic guidance have made her a trusted advisor in the state’s political landscape. She served as a senior adviser for Donald Trump’s campaigns during the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.
