The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has launched a Golden Visa program aimed at attracting and retaining talented educators in the Emirate. This initiative offers long-term residency to eligible school leaders and teachers who meet specific criteria, allowing them to become self-sponsored residents in the UAE.
The program targets two main categories: “School Leaders,” which includes principals, vice principals, and school directors, and “Teachers,” referring to qualified educators currently working in public and private schools in Ras Al Khaimah. The initiative is designed to recognize the significant role educators play in improving the quality of education and to support Ras Al Khaimah’s goal of building a world-class education system.
To qualify, applicants must have at least three years of residency and employment in Ras Al Khaimah, possess an advanced degree, and demonstrate a positive impact on their school’s performance. The application process is designed to be efficient and user-friendly, with educators required to submit their official appointment letter, proof of qualifications, residency and employment documentation, and evidence of their contributions to enhancing school performance.
“This initiative recognises the critical role that educators play in improving the quality of education for all students in Ras Al Khaimah,” said Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, RAK DOK Board Member.
“The programme acknowledges the invaluable contributions of teachers and is consistent with our overarching objective of establishing a world-class education system in Ras Al Khaimah. By qualifying top educators for long-term residency, we reaffirm our dedication to nurturing a robust educational environment that fosters talent and innovation, further enhancing our educational offerings and ensuring the continued success of our students,” he added.
Once the documents are reviewed, RAK DOK will confirm eligibility and direct successful applicants to the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICP) to complete the Golden Visa process. Further details can be found on the Ras Al Khaimah Educators Golden Visa webpage.
