Dubai Taxi Company Expands Fleet To 6,210 Vehicles With Focus On Sustainability

Dubai Taxi Company PJSC (DTC) has added 250 new license plates from the latest RTA auction, growing its total fleet to 6,210 vehicles. This expansion, valued at AED85 million ($23.14 million) in additional annual revenue, will be exclusively allocated for electric vehicles, boosting DTC’s eco-friendly fleet to approximately 87% of its total taxis and limousines.

Advancing Sustainability Goals

Aligned with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, this initiative underscores DTC’s commitment to reducing emissions and enhancing operational efficiency. CEO Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi highlighted the strategic focus on sustainable mobility, stating that the company aims to strengthen its regional footprint while collaborating with local and global leaders in smart transport.

Comprehensive Mobility Solutions

DTC’s total fleet, now exceeding 9,000 vehicles, includes taxis, limousines, buses, and motorcycles. The company’s investments in electric vehicles aim to position Dubai as a global hub for sustainable urban mobility.

Alfalasi affirmed that DTC will continue scaling operations to meet increasing demand and contribute to the emirate’s environmental sustainability goals.
