A mass wedding was recently held in Umm Al Quwain for several Emirati couples, focusing on promoting collective weddings and lowering marriage costs. The event was hosted under the patronage of Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.
The ceremony took place at the Ministry’s Customer Happiness Centre and was attended by key figures, including Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Tourism and Archaeology Department, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser bin Ahmed Al Mu’alla, Special Advisor to the Ruler. The event also saw the presence of officials, guests, and families of the newlyweds, with folk music performances adding to a spark in the celebration.
Sheikh Majid bin Saud emphasized the importance of mass weddings in fostering community unity and stability. He congratulated the couples and wished them prosperity, reports Khaleej Times. The Ministry of Community Development organizes these mass weddings every year as part of its initiative to promote family stability and encourage the involvement of youth and women.
