Dubai Police have arrested Othman El Ballouti, a Belgian national accused of involvement in international organized crime and drug trafficking. El Ballouti, listed under an Interpol Red Notice and in Europol’s database, was apprehended following an international arrest warrant issued by Belgian authorities.
Coordinated Effort with Belgian Authorities
The arrest was executed by Dubai Police’s General Department of Criminal Investigation in collaboration with the UAE’s Ministry of Interior. Officials confirmed on Monday that the operation was part of a coordinated effort to bring the fugitive to justice.
El Ballouti has been transferred to Dubai Public Prosecution to begin legal proceedings related to his extradition.
