The tickets for the Coldplay shows scheduled for January 9, 11, 12, and 14 sold out quickly, leaving many who waited until the last moment hoping for a chance to get one. However, for those who missed the open window, they tried various other ways to secure tickets.
In the process, many fell victim to scams and lost significant amounts of money. A Sharjah resident, Ruhaan, shared, “When the website shut down, multiple links started circulating to buy tickets for the Coldplay concert. I came across one platform on Facebook where people were asked to pay either online or on a particular website called Ticketmaster. While I was eager to get tickets for myself and my friend, I ended up losing AED500.”
Ruhaan quickly pointed out that it wasn’t just him; many others in the group were also lured into these scam websites. General sale tickets for the Coldplay concert started at AED195 for standard seating, with general admission standing and restricted view tickets priced at AED395.
Other ticket categories included the bronze section at AED295, silver at AED495, gold at AED595, ruby at AED695, and the premium section at AED995. For a more exclusive experience, deluxe tickets were available for AED1,495, as offered by the event organizers, Live Nation.
