Dubai Duty Free celebrated its 41st anniversary with record-breaking sales of AED59.993 million (USD 16.436 million) over a 24-hour period, boosted by a 25% discount on a wide range of merchandise.

This year’s revenue marked an 11% increase compared to the 40th-anniversary sales, with key categories seeing significant growth:

  • Perfumes: +23.4% YoY
  • Cosmetics: +46.6% YoY
  • Confectionery: +56.4% YoY
  • Cigarettes: +22.8% YoY
  • Precious Jewelry: +66.8% YoY

Top-Selling Categories

The highest-grossing categories during the anniversary sale were:

  1. Perfumes: AED15.294 million (USD 4.190 million)
  2. Liquor: AED6.479 million (USD 1.775 million)
  3. Cosmetics: AED6.240 million (USD 1.710 million)
  4. Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Tickets: AED5.491 million (USD 1.504 million)
  5. Watches: AED5.374 million (USD 1.472 million)

Customer Engagement and Venue Activity

The 25% discount drew a spending frenzy across Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport, as travelers took advantage of reduced prices on a variety of products.

The top-performing Perfumes category alone contributed over 25% of total sales, reflecting its strong appeal among travelers. Additionally, the Millennium Millionaire tickets achieved remarkable traction, securing the fourth spot in terms of sales.
