Coco Grill & Lounge opens in Downtown Dubai, aiming to make a mark on the city’s dining scene. Following the success of its locations in London, including Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, and Lakeside Shopping Centre, the restaurant plans to cater to Dubai’s upscale clientele with a mix of fine dining, entertainment, and social spaces.

What’s exclusive at Coco Grill & Lounge?

The restaurant will feature a botanical theme inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere for over 300 guests. The venue is designed to offer a variety of dining experiences, from casual daytime meals to luxurious evening events.

At the heart of Coco’s offering is an innovative menu – dishes such as BBQ Ribs or Royal Wagyu Pides, Duck Tacos, Coco Dynamite Shrimps, Baos, Sushis, and more. Guests can indulge in more options such as the opulent 24k Gold Tomahawk Steak, accompanied by an array of continental dishes such as Lamb Chops, Truffle Mac n Cheese, Vegan Spaghetti Meatballs, among others, that showcase advanced culinary techniques.

Owner Naz Choudhury underscores the restaurant’s commitment to inclusivity and sober living: “We aim to deliver unparalleled dining experiences while advocating for a sober lifestyle. The exclusive non-alcoholic ‘Redemption Bar’ embodies this vision, allowing all guests to relish a memorable experience without compromise.”

The Chefs behind the quintessential flavors of Coco Grill & Lounge

Leading the kitchen is Chef Raheman, a seasoned professional with over 18 years in the hospitality industry, including his experience in the Maldives too. He said, “We already have a flavored menu from London, but we’ve added something localized to suit the taste buds of the locals here. All the dishes are beautifully presented; as it is a global cuisine, and we’ve brought several flavors and fusions under one roof.”

Also heard from Consultant Chef Maurizi Ferraiuolo, who said, “We’ve traveled the world. The food at Coco Grill & Lounge is international; a bit of Malaysian, Thai, and Chinese, but again I am Italian, so there’s a bit of an Italian touch and some Middle Eastern as well. We sort of found a way, very special to Coco to combine everything together.”

When asked about Coco’s Duck Salad, Chef Maurizi explained, “Duck is a very special ingredient and so we have a way of treating it. Everything is done with passion and we shall respect the ingredients as well – right from marination, slow cooking, it’s brought into the salad in a particular way. We created our own spin on it, as duck is something that’s really popular, given we’ve been around restaurants. Thank god it is a hit.”

Next, The Redemption Bar – A carefully curated selection of visually stunning mocktails, each one expertly crafted by an international mixologist with a passion for flavors. These beverages showcase artistry in their presentation and redefine the experience of nightlife by offering non-alcoholic options.

Lastly, Green Room – Caters to intimate and business conversations. The circular layout is adorned with lush greenery and emerald green, gold, and red elements, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a luxurious ancient tomb transformed into a dining sanctuary. A glass ceiling overhead illuminates the space, casting exquisite light patterns across the umbrella-shaped ceiling.

The F360 recommends trying the Coco Dynamite Shrimp, Coco Chicken Bao, Tuna Tartare, Coco’s Duck Salad, Tavuk Chicken, and Stir-Fried Noodles – a selection of unique flavors that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
