Dubai is strengthening its commitment to higher education by enhancing support for Emirati students and streamlining the accreditation process for educational institutions. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) have signed two key agreements to achieve these goals.

The first agreement focuses on improving academic and administrative services for students participating in the prestigious Hamdan Bin Mohammed Scholarship Programme. This initiative aims to nurture future leaders by supporting top Emirati graduates with scholarships to pursue degrees in fields crucial for Dubai’s development.

The second agreement aims to streamline the licensing and accreditation process for higher education institutions in Dubai, thereby enhancing the quality of education and positioning the Emirate as a leading global destination for higher learning.

These initiatives reflect the UAE’s dedication to fostering a world-class education system that equips Emirati students with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the nation’s future success.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, noted, “These agreements aim to create an environment that attracts prestigious educational institutions from around the world in line with our mission to elevate the UAE’s higher education sector and boost its global competitiveness,” reports Khaleej Times.
