It’s just a few days until the holy month of Ramadan 2025 begins. Today, February 21, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the launch of a special charity campaign dedicated to fathers.
“Brothers and sisters, a great and holy month will be upon us in the coming days,” he wrote on X.
In line with the annual tradition of launching a humanitarian Ramadan campaign from the people of the Emirates, the “Father’s Endowment” has been introduced today. This sustainable endowment will serve as an ongoing charity, on behalf of all fathers across the UAE, His Highness stated.
“The father is the first role model, the first support, and the first teacher. He is the source of strength, wisdom, and security in our lives, young and old. May God have mercy on those who have passed away, and may God protect those who remain. Our role is to celebrate them in this blessed month through an ongoing charity in a sustainable humanitarian endowment in the name of our fathers, the proceeds of which will be allocated to treating patients and providing healthcare for the poor, needy, and unable to pay,” his X post read.
The post further stated that everyone is invited to participate in this endowment—young and old, men and women—to bring joy to parents, seek the pleasure of the Lord, and observe the holy month of Ramadan in a spirit of goodness, love, and mercy.
“We are in the year of society in which we aim to bring hearts closer and establish love, cohesion and solidarity in all families. May God protect the UAE and have mercy on its founding fathers and perpetuate goodness and mercy on all fathers in the UAE,” the post concluded.
