India will face Australia in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy 2025 today, March 4 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE, after topping Group A with an undefeated record. The match will start at 1.00 PM UAE time, 2:30 PM India time.

Their victory over New Zealand secured their spot against Australia, who advanced despite some rain-affected group matches. However, Australia will be without key pacer Mitchell Starc for this high-stakes clash.

UAE Weather Update

The weather in Dubai is expected to be clear with no rain on match day. Temperatures will be around 30°C during the first half of the game, dropping to 25°C as the evening progresses.

The lowest temperature recorded over the country this morning was 3.3°C in Raknah, Al Ain, at 6.00 am UAE Local time, as per the National Center of Meteorology. However, it predicts dusty conditions in some internal areas of Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi, among other emirates.

IND vs AUS: Pitch report

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium features a well-balanced pitch that caters to both batters and bowlers. It offers decent pace and bounce, providing favorable conditions for batting. However, the expansive boundaries make it tough to hit sixes. As the game progresses, the pitch tends to slow down, which benefits spinners, particularly during the middle overs.

In the most recent ODI at this venue, Varun Chakaravarthy impressed on his Champions Trophy debut by taking five wickets against New Zealand. Earlier in the match, New Zealand’s pacer Matt Henry also claimed five wickets during the first innings. India defended 249 by dismissing New Zealand for 205, with Indian spinners taking nine out of ten wickets.

The Dubai Stadium has hosted 61 ODIs, with 23 wins for the team batting first and 36 for the chasing team. Two matches had no result.

India has played three Champions Trophy matches here in 2025, winning all of them. Overall, they’ve won 8 out of 9 ODIs at this venue, with one match (against Afghanistan) ending in a tie. Australia has played 5 ODIs here, winning 4.
