Dubai’s Endowment Assets Value Reaches AED11.1 Billion In 2024: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, took to X to reveal that the value of endowment assets in Dubai reached AED11.1 billion in 2024, marking a 9% increase from 2023.

In a statement, His Highness shared, “During a meeting with prominent philanthropists in Dubai, I expressed our deep gratitude for their generosity, charitable initiatives, and commitment to endowment projects.”

“The emirate now has 1,043 endowment assets, contributed by 578 individual and institutional donors,” he revealed.

Dubai is dedicated to enhancing its leadership in the endowment sector and expanding community-focused service initiatives. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed added, “On behalf of Dubai and its community, thank you. Your continued generosity, along with the dedicated efforts of the Awqaf Dubai team, is not only helping to create a lasting impact but also reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading hub for philanthropy and humanitarian work.”

Sheikh Hamdan made these comments during a meeting with a delegation from the Endowments and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai (AWQAF Dubai), along with several prominent donors. The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler.

During the discussion, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan commended the efforts of citizens, residents, and institutions in supporting endowment initiatives, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and scientific research, reports WAM. He highlighted that AWQAF Dubai’s innovative strategy allows organizations of all sizes to actively contribute to community-driven projects.
