Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has launched the ‘MyDubai Communities’ digital platform, aimed at connecting citizens, residents, and visitors with over 100 interest-based communities across the city.
The platform is a significant evolution of the #MyDubai initiative, which started in 2014, and reflects Dubai’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties and foster inclusion, particularly in celebration of the Year of Community.
Accessible through the website and social media channels, the platform unites diverse groups—ranging from cultural and artistic communities to sports, wellness, and professional networks—allowing users to explore activities that match their passions and interests. The goal is to create a vibrant, interconnected community while offering spaces for collaboration and shared experiences.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the success of a city isn’t defined solely by its infrastructure but by the strength of its community bonds. He also highlighted the role of ‘MyDubai Communities’ in supporting the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the wider Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to place the city among the world’s top three in terms of living standards.
The platform is designed to bring together people from various cultural backgrounds and age groups, furthering Dubai’s reputation as a welcoming, inclusive global hub. His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, noted that the initiative is crucial to Dubai’s growth and will help the city continue to evolve as a world-leading destination for living, working, and visiting.
