BEEAH, a leader in sustainability and innovation in the region, hosted the Future Pioneers Award (FPA) 2024-2025 ceremony in Sharjah, where 15 groundbreaking concepts and initiatives were honored. These initiatives focus on reducing energy and water consumption, improving access to clean energy, optimizing land use for sustainable agriculture, promoting eco-friendly practices across communities, and more.
Under the patronage of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah, the award acknowledges innovative projects from individuals and groups across schools, universities, government institutions, and corporations worldwide that contribute to a more sustainable future. Building on BEEAH’s decade-long legacy, the FPA continues to engage thousands of participants, now extending its reach globally to showcase inspiring solutions for an environmentally forward-thinking future.
Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi emphasized the global nature of the challenge, stating, “Sustainability is a global challenge, and to address it, innovations are being developed all around the world. The Future Pioneers Award is seeing more countries participating with each edition, underscoring the importance of uniting innovations and spotlighting them for collective progress. Congratulations to the 2024-2025 winners, who have shared innovations that have the potential to make positive global impact.”
Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH, also congratulated the winners, adding, “Every year, BEEAH’s Future Pioneers Award aims to spotlight innovative solutions that can help solve some of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. The ceremony kicked off with remarks from Khaled Al Huraimel and Hind Al Huwaidi, Chief Executive Development Officer at BEEAH. Emirati inventor Fatima Al Kaabi then gave an inspiring talk about the power of innovation in pushing new boundaries for societal and environmental impact. The event concluded with Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi presenting awards to the 15 winners, recognizing their sustainable innovations across five categories.
Hind Al Huwaidi expressed her admiration for the creative solutions presented by participants, noting, “I am inspired by the incredible solutions proposed by the participants during this edition of the FPA. The entries address universal environmental and societal challenges, underscoring creativity and commitment from the participants. Our expert panel reviewed hundreds of applications, each with its own uniquely valuable propositions. I would like to thank all participants for their efforts, as well as the judges, who skillfully took on the challenging task of shortlisting, evaluating, and selecting the winners. Congratulations to the winners, whose innovations we look forward to seeing in action among communities close to home and around the globe, driving positive environmental outcomes.”
The panel of judges, composed of respected professionals from the fields of academia, digital governance, and strategy and innovation, rigorously reviewed 165 submissions before selecting the top entries in each category.
Open to individuals, groups, and organizations worldwide, the 2024-2025 edition of the FPA attracted participants from ten countries, including the UAE, United States, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and India. The top three winners in each category received financial support to help scale their emerging innovations and contribute to a sustainable future.
