Mahir Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Vice President at the Dubai World Trade Centre, inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of senior officials and representatives from both local and international companies.
Julfar highlighted that the exhibition serves as a key platform to support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, attract foreign investments, and strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading industrial and logistics hub in the region.
Dawood Al Shezawi, the exhibition’s President, emphasized that the event plays a critical role in driving industrial and commercial growth in Dubai. He noted that the exhibition brings together manufacturers, distributors, and investors from a sector experiencing rising demand for wood and natural materials, particularly in construction, design, and decoration industries.
The exhibition features 12 international pavilions from countries such as Portugal, Gabon, China, the United States, India, Italy, Turkey, Russia, France, Germany, Austria, and Egypt, all showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies within the wood industry. This demonstrates the global reach of the event and the wealth of investment opportunities it presents.
Exhibitors are displaying a wide array of products, including various types of wooden panels, hardwood and softwood, engineered wood, edge banding, machinery and equipment, coatings, adhesives, furniture accessories, logistics, and software.
The first day of the exhibition saw several panel discussions and workshops, covering topics like timber market forecasts in the Middle East and North Africa, the impact of global ocean freight on logistics, and the latest timber market trends in Northern and Central Europe and North Africa.
