The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced the inclusion of three distinguished Emirati figures in its 2025 Young Global Leaders (YGL) class:

  • Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui – UAE Minister of Community Development
  • Meera Sultan Al Suwaidi – Member of the Federal National Council
  • Tuka Waddah Alhanai – Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi

This prestigious recognition celebrates individuals under 40 who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions in their respective fields. The selection underscores the vital role Emirati youth play in shaping global leadership and decision-making across various sectors.

The YGL community comprises outstanding leaders from public service, business, academia, media, civil society, and culture. Members are chosen for their professional achievements and commitment to driving positive change worldwide.

This achievement reflects the UAE’s consistent dedication to empowering its citizens, particularly women, and supporting their active participation across all sectors, reports WAM. The WEF’s Young Global Leaders initiative, established in 2004, continues to cultivate a diverse community of exceptional individuals addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.
