Abu Dhabi’s Butheeb International Endurance Village hosted the final events of the 2024–2025 endurance racing season on Saturday, with a total of 444 male and female riders competing across two qualifying races.
The day’s first event was an 80-kilometre race held over three phases, attracting 175 participants. Of these, 120 riders completed the race, while 55 were eliminated after their horses failed to meet the required standards at veterinary checkpoints.
The second race, a 40-kilometre qualifier, saw a larger turnout of 269 riders. A total of 236 successfully crossed the finish line, with 33 unable to complete the course.
The 2024–2025 endurance racing season began in October and featured 55 races across the UAE’s key endurance venues. Butheeb Endurance Village led the season with 30 races and championships, followed by 16 events at Dubai International Endurance City and nine at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba.
The season’s closing events highlighted the strong participation and growing popularity of endurance racing in the UAE, as riders from across the region competed for qualification and prestige.
