The UAE weather is gearing up to be warmer and even more humid, with temperatures reaching almost close to 50°C, as per the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). With the rising heat, there’s a tendency for potential dust winds, too, across the city. However, the lowest temperature recorded in the internal areas of Raknah in Al Ain at around 6.00 am UAE local time was 20.1°C.

Meanwhile, the National Center of Meteorology also reported that the UAE is currently experiencing mostly clear skies, although parts of the eastern region are seeing occasional cloud build-up.

Yesterday, Tawiyen in Fujairah recorded the highest temperature at a scorching 46.6°C around 1:30 pm. The heatwave extended across the country, keeping the temperatures between 40°C and 45°C. Many residents also took to social media to express concerns around summer officially approaching.

Adding to the oppressive heat, gusty winds blowing at speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, sometimes reaching up to 45 km/h, are stirring up dust in several areas, with visibility significantly impacted.

Drivers are urged to remain vigilant on the roads due to the sudden onset of dust storms, which may obscure visibility. Meanwhile, humidity is expected to climb to 70%, making the atmosphere feel even more stifling.

Marine forecasts also reflect the shifting weather, with the Arabian Gulf likely to see slight to moderate wave activity, while the Oman Sea remains calm. Authorities advise both residents and tourists to plan their outdoor activities with care, keeping in mind the challenging weather conditions.
