Starting May 2, 2025, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will introduce a new intercity bus service, Route E308, linking Stadium Bus Station in Dubai to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. The one-way fare for this route will be AED12.
This new service is part of RTA’s ongoing effort to expand and improve the public transportation network, focusing on enhancing intermodal connectivity with metro, tram, and marine services. The goal is to make public transport the preferred mode of travel across the emirate.
In addition to Route E308, RTA will also implement a series of route enhancements starting from May 2. These improvements include:
- Route 17: Now terminates at Baniyas Square Metro Station instead of Al Sabkha Bus Station.
- Route 24: Re-routed within the Al Nahda 1 area.
- Route 44: Re-routed to serve Dubai Festival City, instead of Al Rebat Street.
- Route 56: Extended to reach DWC Staff Village.
- Routes 66 & 67: A new stop added at Al Ruwayah Farm area.
- Route 32C: Service to Al Satwa Bus Station curtailed; passengers can use Route F27 for continued service.
- Route C26: Bus stop moved to Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 2 from Al Jafiliya Bus Station.
- Route E16: Now terminates at Union Bus Station instead of Al Sabkha Bus Station.
- Route F12: Rerouted via Kuwait Street, curtailing the section between Al Satwa Roundabout and Al Wasl Park.
- Route F27: Bus stop relocated to Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 2 from Al Jafiliya Bus Station.
- Route F47: Re-routed within the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
- Route F54: Extended to serve the new JAFZA South labour camp.
- Route X92: Bus stop moved to Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 1 from Al Jafiliya Bus Station.
These changes aim to improve efficiency and provide passengers with a smoother and more convenient commuting experience across the city.
