Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe’s Twitter account was hacked recently, leading to a series of controversial posts that stirred up social media. The hacked tweets mentioned a fake ‘MBAPPE’ token sale, hinted at a potential transfer to Manchester United, and contained derogatory comments about Lionel Messi.

Hacked Tweets Cause Social Media Frenzy

Overnight, Mbappe’s Twitter account was compromised, with hackers posting several misleading and inflammatory tweets. One of the most notable posts falsely claimed the launch of an ‘MBAPPE’ token, which allegedly saw a sudden spike in sales, reaching 90,000 before quickly losing all its value. The rapid rise and fall of the token caused a brief but intense frenzy among some users who believed the tweets to be genuine.

Fake Manchester United Transfer Rumors

The hacker behind Mbappe’s account also sparked rumors about a potential transfer to Manchester United. One tweet provocatively declared, “Manchester is Red,” referencing Manchester United’s team colors, and praised a well-known United fan account, @UTDTrey, as having “the best account on ft.” These tweets fueled speculation and excitement among Manchester United supporters before the truth about the hack emerged.

Insults Toward Lionel Messi and Ronaldo vs. Messi Debate

Adding to the controversy, the hacker posted a tweet favoring Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi, stating, “Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest football player of all time. The midget [Lionel Messi] is NOT my goat.” The derogatory term used for Messi and the bold claim about Ronaldo further fueled debates and divided opinions among fans of both legendary players.

Market Impact of the Fake ‘MBAPPE’ Token

The fake launch of the ‘MBAPPE’ token created a brief but intense stir in the cryptocurrency market. At its peak, the token’s value reportedly surged into the tens of millions within minutes. However, it swiftly crashed to zero, leaving those who had fallen for the scam in shock. One user claimed to have made a significant profit, buying 2 SOL (approximately £216) worth of tokens and selling them at the height of the frenzy for around 1,398 SOL (about $151,500).

Rapid Deletion of Controversial Posts

After the hack was discovered, all the misleading and offensive tweets were quickly deleted from Mbappe’s account. The hacker had also posted inflammatory comments about several Premier League teams, including Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, which were also removed.

Kylian Mbappe’s Twitter account hack serves as a reminder of the vulnerabilities of social media platforms and the rapid spread of misinformation online. The fake posts about cryptocurrency, transfer rumors, and insults toward Lionel Messi caused widespread confusion and sparked heated debates, illustrating the impact a single hacked account can have on fans, markets, and social discourse.
