Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani has announced the launch of the “Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer,” which will provide Jio users with up to 100 GB of free cloud storage. This initiative, set to roll out around Diwali this year, aims to make cloud storage and AI-powered services widely accessible across India.

Speaking at the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Ambani outlined the vision behind the Jio AI-Cloud initiative. “We are thrilled to announce the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer. Jio users will receive up to 100 GB of free cloud storage to securely store and access all their photos, videos, documents, and other digital content. Our goal is to launch this offer around Diwali, providing an affordable solution for cloud storage and AI services to everyone, everywhere,” he said.

Pioneering AI Adoption with Jio Brain

To further support AI adoption, Jio is developing a comprehensive suite of tools and platforms under the initiative called “Jio Brain.” This suite aims to cover the entire AI lifecycle, making advanced AI tools accessible to a broader audience.

Ambani elaborated on this initiative, stating, “To streamline AI adoption, Jio is developing a comprehensive suite of tools and platforms under ‘Jio Brain,’ spanning the entire AI lifecycle. This will enable businesses and individuals alike to harness the power of AI in a more streamlined and effective manner.”

Achievements in Digital Transformation

Ambani also highlighted Jio’s significant achievements in transforming India’s digital infrastructure, particularly in the rollout of 5G technology. “Jio has transformed India from 5G-dark to 5G-bright, creating one of the world’s most advanced 5G networks. In just two years, over 130 million customers have embraced Jio True 5G, marking the world’s fastest 5G adoption,” he noted.

Emphasizing the company’s commitment to democratizing AI, Ambani said, “The true power of AI lies in making it accessible to everyone, everywhere. With our vision of ‘AI Everywhere For Everyone,’ we are committed to offering powerful AI models and services at the most affordable prices in India. To achieve this, we are laying the groundwork for a truly national AI infrastructure, including gigawatt-scale AI-ready data centers powered by Reliance’s green energy initiatives.”

Jio’s Innovative Edge

Ambani further highlighted Jio’s strong position in innovation and technology, noting that the company is among India’s largest patent holders. “Jio holds over 350 patents in 5G and 6G technologies, securing its place at the forefront of global innovation. Last year alone, Reliance filed over 2,555 patents, primarily in areas like bio-energy innovations, solar and other green energy sources, and high-value chemicals,” he said.

New Developments with Jio Phonecall AI

During the AGM, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), introduced a new service, “Jio Phonecall AI,” which aims to make using AI as simple as making a phone call. “Jio Phonecall AI can record and store any call in Jio Cloud, automatically transcribe it from voice to text, summarize the conversation, and even translate it into another language,” he explained. “This allows users to easily capture and access important voice conversations, making them searchable, shareable, and understandable across languages, all with just a few clicks.”

With these announcements, Reliance Jio continues to push the boundaries of digital innovation in India, positioning itself as a leader in AI and cloud technologies while emphasizing accessibility and affordability for all.
