The UAE’s Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said in its latest advisory that now there is no need to apply for a travel ban to be lifted since the process will be initiated automatically once a case is resolved.
The UAE has simplified the process of removing travel bans, eliminating the need for previous requirements like clearance and supporting documents, which are no longer necessary now.
The Ministry of Justice will now expedite the process of a travel ban removal, taking only a few minutes instead of a working day.
This directive comes as a part of the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which was launched early this year with an aim to raise the effectiveness of federal government services by removing bureaucratic hurdles.
Judicial authorities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have now automated the process of travel ban cancellation once the outstanding fines are paid.
