- New Traffic Radars in Ajman Starting October 1, Ajman will activate new traffic radars to monitor serious violations such as using phones while driving and not wearing seat belts. Offenders will face a fine of Dh400 and receive four black points. The smart radars aim to make roads safer by discouraging dangerous driving habits.
- Express Entry to the US for Emiratis Emirati citizens with valid US visas will benefit from expedited travel processes with the introduction of the Global Entry Programme in October. This will allow them to bypass long queues and additional paperwork when entering the US. Emiratis can use Global Entry kiosks at US ports of entry, making travel more efficient.
- Mandatory Genetic Testing for Marriages in Abu Dhabi Starting October 1, premarital genetic testing will become mandatory for UAE citizens planning to marry in Abu Dhabi. The tests will be available at 22 primary care centers across the emirate and will help couples identify potential genetic risks that could affect future children. Test results will be issued within 14 days, contributing to public health efforts to prevent genetic disorders.
