The vehicles were fined Dh50,000 each as per Decree No. 30 of 2023 for their release. Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, stated that the department acted swiftly to curb these behaviours, enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against road violations.
Al Mazrouei further warned motorists that the police will remain vigilant and take decisive action to ensure road safety. He urged residents to report reckless driving through the Dubai Police app’s “Police Eye” feature or the “We Are All Police” service at 901.
The law aims to maintain order and safeguard all road users, with police officers committed to enforcing penalties without leniency.
