A new update allows GCC residents to extend their e-visas for an additional 30 days while remaining in the UAE. Previously, they were required to exit the nation for renewal.
To apply for the extension, GCC residents can simply visit the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai or use the smart channels provided by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). The process is clear with instructions.
If a GCC resident’s job changes after they get a visa to enter the UAE, they might not be allowed to enter the country. This means that the visa might become invalid if their job no longer matches the information on it.
This change is beneficial for residents who frequently travel to the UAE for business, leisure, or family visits. It eliminates the need for a separate trip for only renewal, saving a lot of time and effort.
