“Our focus is on the Samsung ecosystem, particularly Samsung mobility solutions,” Ganapathy said. He elaborated on their broad range of devices, including rugged devices designed for industries like oil and gas, manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing. “These devices meet military standards, are IP68 certified, and are equipped with the latest Android OS. Their durability and longevity make them a smart choice for companies in these sectors.”
Ganapathy also spoke about the flagship Samsung models such as the Galaxy Fold and Flip, designed for enterprise use, as well as Samsung’s Knox, a comprehensive mobile device management (MDM) solution that enhances security and productivity for businesses.
Innovative AI Applications: From KYC to Real-Time Meeting Summaries
In addition to the hardware, Jacky’s is highlighting software solutions like Graba and Scandit. Graba is a proprietary software optimized for Samsung devices, tailored for KYC (Know Your Customer) applications in industries like banking, telecom, and government. Scandit, on the other hand, transforms mobile devices into barcode scanners for stocktaking and warehouse applications.

When asked which industry is seeing the most demand for these solutions, Ganapathy pointed out that Samsung mobility solutions cater to a wide range of sectors. “We see demand across industries, but rugged devices are particularly useful in sectors like logistics, government, and utilities. Companies like DEWA and other federal government entities are already using these technologies for inspections and route accounting.”

Ganapathy also highlighted Knox’s unique work and personal profile separation feature, which allows employees to switch between work and personal modes on the same device. “This feature can significantly enhance productivity by minimizing distractions during work hours, which is especially valuable in today’s world where people’s attention spans are shorter.”
He also shared Samsung’s AI-powered translation capabilities, which are particularly beneficial in Dubai’s multicultural environment. “For example, a Chinese speaker can communicate with an Arabic speaker using their native language, with the AI automatically translating the conversation in real-time. This is built into Samsung’s AI models, making cross-cultural communication seamless.”

When asked if AI advancements could lead to job displacement, Ganapathy expressed optimism. “Man and machine must coexist. New technologies, like AI, will create new jobs that require different skill sets. Just like the introduction of computers created new roles for programmers, AI will also open up new opportunities.”
Ganapathy stressed that rather than replacing jobs, AI will lead to the creation of more specialized roles that support and enhance productivity. “This is a new era of AI, and we’re just beginning to see its potential.”
