Marine transport services have resumed operations along Dubai Water Canal and Business Bay, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Wednesday. This comes after the completion of enhancement works aimed at improving connectivity and accessibility in these areas.

Two Marine Transport Lines Now Operational

The service, which operates across two key routes, connects popular tourist destinations and ensures smooth integration with other mobility options like bicycles and e-scooters, available at nearby stations.

  • Line DC2: Operating from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 10pm, and on Sundays from 10am to 10pm, this line links Waterfront, Marasi, Business Bay, Godolphin, and Sheikh Zayed Road stations, with intervals between 30 and 50 minutes.
  • Line DC3: Running from 4pm to 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays, this line connects Al Jaddaf Station to Dubai Design District Marine Transport Station, with services every 35 minutes.

Both lines are affordably priced at AED2 per stop.

Supporting Development and Enhancing Quality of Life

“The goal of restarting these services is to support the economy, boost the quality of projects, and enhance the overall quality of life,” said Khalaf Hassan Abdullah Belghuzooz Al Zarooni, director of marine transport at RTA’s Public Transport Agency. He also noted the importance of marine transport in serving waterfront development projects across the city.
