Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering commuters the chance to win major prizes, including 1 million Nol+ points, a 50-gram gold bar, and AED10,000 in cash, as part of Public Transport Day celebrations on Friday, November 1.

In an initiative to encourage the use of public transportation, the RTA will recognize the most frequent riders across various categories from October 28 through November 1. The top prize for the “Public Transport Champion” will award 1 million Nol+ points to first-place winners, 500,000 Nol+ points to runners-up, and 250,000 Nol+ points to those in third place. The winners will be honored in a special ceremony.

One of the key events is the ‘Mysterious Man Challenge,’ where participants can search for a “Mysterious Man” at metro stations from October 30 to November 1. Daily winners will be awarded AED10,000, and on November 1, the lucky winner will receive both AED10,000 and an additional 50-gram gold bar.

“This year’s Public Transport Day theme, ‘Good for you, Great for Dubai,’ encourages residents and visitors to opt for RTA’s public transportation services, contributing to making Dubai one of the best cities to live in,” said Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of the Corporate Administrative Support Sector at RTA.

The celebration is part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to highlight the benefits of sustainable and integrated transport options, including the metro, trams, buses, marine transit, and soft mobility choices such as cycling and e-scooters. Public Transport Day, held annually on November 1, reinforces Dubai’s vision to make public transport an accessible, eco-friendly choice across the city.
