With the UAE National Day holidays approaching, residents are set to explore new destinations or revisit familiar spots. Travel agencies are reporting a significant increase in bookings, compared to last year, with some seeing a jump of up to 35%.
Raheesh Babu, COO of Musafir.com, highlights the change in booking trends to Khaleej Times. He said, “Customers are eager to explore, and local tourism businesses are responding magnificently. We’re seeing a diverse range of packages offered, from all-inclusive relaxation experiences to thrilling theme park adventures.”
The UAE’s strategic location and world-class infrastructure makes it a convenient hub for international travel as well. Residents often use the National Day holidays as an opportunity to explore neighboring countries or embark on longer international trips.
The 4-day weekend, spanning from December 2 to 5, is set to ignite a travel boom across the nation. With public holidays falling on a Monday and Tuesday, residents are capitalizing on the extended break to escape the daily grind and explore new horizons.
