The Las Vegas Sphere is coming to Abu Dhabi. The Department of Culture and Tourism announced this on Tuesday, October 15th. This will be a new way to experience events, concerts, and shows. It can hold 20,000 people and is expected to attract visitors all year round. The exact location in Abu Dhabi has not been announced yet, but it will be in a prime spot.
The Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sphere Entertainment, James L. Dolan, said that the vision for this has always included a global network of venues, and now the announcement is a significant milestone toward that goal. He further added, “Sphere is redefining live entertainment and extending the reach of its transformative impact. We are proud to collaborate with DCT Abu Dhabi to develop this in their city.”
Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism also suggests that the Las Vegas Sphere that opened in September 2023 has been very successful and the company behind it, Sphere Entertainment, wants to build more such around the world. This will help the company grow in terms of making more revenue by using its knowledge, technology, and content.
