Glimpses from the Chinese New Year 2025 celebrations at Abu Dhabi’s Umm Al Emarat Park are circulating on social media, showcasing the festivities that drew massive crowds. The cultural event, organized by the Chinese Embassy in collaboration with China Media Group, created a beautiful atmosphere for people to celebrate and make memories.
As part of the global Chinese New Year celebrations, Abu Dhabi was selected as one of seven cities worldwide to host these festivities, highlighting the strong bilateral relations and cultural exchange between the two nations, particularly as they mark 40 years of diplomatic ties.
Meanwhile, celebrations across the UAE further emphasized the deep-rooted historical and strategic partnership between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China.
In Dubai, Chinese New Year celebrations kicked off on January 24 and will continue until February 2, featuring six major events organized by the Consulate General of China. Highlights include an electric car showcase, the Lantern Festival, and cultural performances.
The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) has introduced exclusive promotions, prize draws offering up to AED50,000, and discounts on luxury brands.
With a 400,000-strong Chinese community in the UAE, these annual festivities underscore the deep cultural and diplomatic ties between the UAE and China, bringing residents and visitors together to experience China’s rich traditions.
