Abu Dhabi: MICHELIN Guide Food Festival 2024 Wraps Up; Here’s What We Know

In partnership with Experience Abu Dhabi, the MICHELIN Guide 2024 Food Fest gathered food lovers at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, showcasing top chefs from 20 MICHELIN Guide-recommended restaurants. Social media is still buzzing with glimpses from the event, giving a peek into the exciting culinary experience, and showcasing dishes, and masterclasses from chefs. Attendees grabbed the opportunity to explore Abu Dhabi’s cultural and food sphere.

La Petite Maison Abu Dhabi, a participant in this year’s Michelin Guide Food Festival, earned a reputation for combining traditional techniques with a modern twist, focusing on flavor and presentation.

Head Chef Navaneeth Chandran, known for his artistic take on French-Mediterranean cuisine, curated four standout dishes that highlight LPM’s commitment to quality and simplicity. Festival-goers had the opportunity to try Tartare de Boeuf (beef tartare), Salade de Chou-Fleur (cauliflower salad with almond and caraway dressing), Gnocchi à La Tomate Fraîche (homemade gnocchi with fresh cherry tomatoes), and Gâteau au Fromage Frais (vanilla cheesecake with berry compote).

Maté Abu Dhabi was recognized by the Michelin Guide for the second year in a row. Chef Daniele Gialluisi noted, “This achievement is a testament to the passion, dedication, and relentless effort of our entire team, who work tirelessly to bring our vision to life every day. A huge congratulations to every member of the Maté family — your hard work, creativity, and commitment continue to make a lasting impact. Thank you for bringing excellence to the table and making this recognition possible.”

More so, Yasmina Hayek, 28, made a mark on the global stage, establishing herself as both a pioneer and a guardian of Lebanese culinary heritage. She was honored with the MICHELIN Young Chef Award for her work at the MICHELIN-selected Em Sherif Sea Café, presented at the MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi Ceremony. This achievement makes her the first woman in the Middle East to receive this accolade. As the event wraps up, The inaugural launch date of the MICHELIN Guide in Doha has been revealed.
