His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE took to his X account to give a glimpse of his special Iftar with the national service recruits at the Sweihan Training Centre in Abu Dhabi on March 17.

As seen in the photos, in attendance with Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, along with several senior officers and officials, His Highness shared food, while indulging in conversations with the recruits.

“The National Service Program is more than a training regiment, it is a journey that builds character, confidence and creates true patriots that care deeply for their nation,” he wrote.

Sheikh Hamdan commended the recruits for their exceptional discipline and commitment, stating, “I am proud of every young man and woman that serves our country, they are the protectors of what our nation stands for and are the builders of its future.”

His Highness’s visit to the training center during the Holy Month aligns with the ‘Year of Community,’ an initiative aimed at strengthening national unity and fostering a renewed sense of belonging and responsibility among the youth of the nation.

Additionally, he expressed, “We are proud of the UAE youth’s loyalty, discipline, and dedication to the national cause. Their patriotic spirit safeguards our Union’s achievements, ensuring the UAE’s flag flies high with pride,” and extended his best wishes to the young recruits for success in their duties, under the esteemed leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
