The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, has revealed the exciting lineup for New Year’s Eve 2025 celebrations, promising an unforgettable experience with over an hour of continuous entertainment. The event will feature impressive fireworks, drone displays, and innovative light and laser shows, all designed to break six Guinness World Records.

The fireworks displays will begin at 6.00 PM, with shows every hour leading up to midnight. As the clock strikes twelve, a record-breaking 53-minute fireworks show will light up the sky, marking the longest and most creative display ever seen at the festival.

Not just this, before the grand fireworks finale, 6,000 drones will perform a stunning 20-minute light show starting at 11.40 PM. This will include a world-record 3,000 drones forming the largest-ever image and spelling out a “HAPPY NEW YEAR” message.

The Emirates Fountain stage will feature an extraordinary laser and light show, using 80 advanced laser systems to create a vibrant, synchronized display of lights, colors, and music, while over 100,000 balloons will be released into the sky.

Nothing ends without live performances in the UAE. Festival venues, including the Heritage Village Square and the Department of Culture and Tourism Pavilion, will have something lined up as well. Performances will showcase Al Ayala, Al Razfa, and Al Naddba, with 600 performers providing lively entertainment.

Participating country pavilions will host festive carnivals and folk performances, while family-friendly activities will include a 130-game amusement park and performances at the Kids’ Theater. Additionally, the festival will feature 3,000 square meters of digital screens to enhance the experience.

The festival gates will open at 2.00 PM and visitors are encouraged to book tickets in advance as the venue will close once it reaches full capacity. For those unable to attend in person, large outdoor screens will broadcast the New Year’s Eve celebrations live.
