Airbus delivered 50 aircraft in September, down from 55 in the same month last year, according to industry sources. Despite the drop, the European planemaker accelerated its deliveries after a slow start to the month.
Delivery Target in Sight
If the figure is confirmed, Airbus will have delivered close to 500 jets in the first nine months of 2024, up from 447 in the January-August period. The company aims to deliver 770 aircraft this year, which will require a significant ramp-up in the traditionally busier fourth quarter.
Supply Chain Concerns Persist
While Airbus is pushing to meet its annual delivery target, analysts warn that tight global supply chains may pose challenges to reaching the 770-jet goal.
