The UAE weather has been experiencing a dip for the past couple of days, lowering temperatures to around 1 degree Celsius in areas of Al Ain. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has advised to stay cautious; motorists are being urged to exercise extreme caution as dense fog is set to blanket parts of the country. As the Coldplay concert in Abu Dhabi kicks off tomorrow, here’s a look at UAE’s weather forecast.
The NCM has issued yellow and red weather warnings due to poor visibility on the roads. More so, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain are expected to experience the heaviest fog, with key areas like Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Road, Al Ajban, Sweihan Road, Al Wathbah, Al Faya, and Al Khazna in Al Ain being particularly affected. Yesterday, many UAE residents predicted that it would rain, and even today, the city looked gloomy in the morning.
This morning, January 8th, thick fog was also reported at Abu Al Abyad Bridge toward Al Mirfa in Al Dhafra. While the situation persisted only till 9.30 am, the temperature now seems to be light and mild.
NCM further mentioned that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy, particularly in Northern, Eastern, and Coastal areas by evening, with a chance of rainfall. The maximum temperatures are expected to be between 23 and 27°C in inland areas, while coastal regions and islands will experience temperatures between 22 and 26°C. In the mountains, temperatures will range from 15 to 19°C.
