Dubai Internet City, a key driver of the Middle East’s digital economy, will participate in the inaugural edition of GITEX Asia from April 23 to 25 in Singapore, as part of a delegation led by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).

As the region’s leading technology hub and a member of TECOM Group PJSC, Dubai Internet City will highlight its contributions to Dubai’s thriving digital landscape and reinforce its global tech appeal. The move comes as part of broader efforts to support the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda “D33” and the UAE Digital Economy Strategy.

According to a recent impact assessment conducted in partnership with Accenture, Dubai Internet City currently generates 65% of Dubai’s technology sector GDP and has helped create over 125,000 jobs since its establishment in 1999. In the last 15 years alone, it has contributed AED 100 billion to the emirate’s GDP.

“We look forward to showcasing the transformative potential of Dubai Internet City’s ecosystem at GITEX Asia, as well as fostering partnerships that will shape the future of the technology sector,” said Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial at TECOM Group and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City.

Dubai Internet City’s delegation will include in5, TECOM Group’s incubator for start-ups in tech, media, design, and science. Since its launch in 2013, in5 has supported more than 1,000 start-ups.

Visitors to GITEX Asia will experience success stories from Dubai Internet City’s thriving community of 4,000 companies and over 31,000 professionals, including global giants like Google, Microsoft, IBM, and Cisco. The district also hosts 19 innovation and R&D centres operated by leading multinationals, underscoring its role as a launchpad for next-generation technologies.

Dubai Internet City’s participation at GITEX Asia further cements its role in propelling Dubai toward its vision of becoming a global digital powerhouse.
