Dubai’s parking fines reached AED64.9 million in the third quarter of 2024, a 56% jump from AED41.6 million during the same period last year, as per Dubai-based Parkin Company. The emirate’s leading paid parking provider issued 418,100 fines in Q3, a 48% increase from 282,800 in Q3 2023.

For the first nine months of 2024, the total fines amounted to AED172.1 million, a 26% increase year-on-year. Parkin’s Q3 report highlights service upgrades, such as expanding its fleet of smart inspection cars, with 24 more vehicles set for deployment by year-end.

By Q3’s close, Parkin’s inspection fleet scanned 5.7 million vehicle plates, marking a 47% rise. Additionally, 4.7 million plates were scanned in Q3 alone, a 57% increase year-over-year. Parkin also upgraded its handheld inspection software in July, which improved enforcement accuracy and reduced inspection errors.

The total parking spaces across Dubai reached approximately 207,300 by Q3 2024, a 6% increase, netting 4,300 additional spaces despite adjustments in Al Sufouh. Parkin reported a 5% increase in net profit to AED104.7 million in Q3 2024.
