Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), the region’s premier aviation platform located in Dubai South, has announced the successful completion of the first phase of its Aerospace Supply Chain zone. This marks a significant milestone in the emirate’s ambition to cement its status as a global aviation hub.
The newly completed phase spans 1.29 million square feet and includes 11 specialized facilities designed to support aviation-related businesses. This landside free zone space caters to critical sectors such as engine shops, component and landing gear Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, along with various workshop solutions. The development comes in response to increasing demand from companies seeking to benefit from MBRAH’s modern infrastructure and strategic location.
In line with its commitment to aviation sector growth, MBRAH is already working on a major expansion. Currently under development is an additional 1.72 million square feet of new facilities, including the first-of-its-kind Suppliers Complex in the region. This vertical aerospace complex, targeting startups and SMEs, will offer 88 leasable units across three floors, reports WAM. These will be dedicated to aircraft maintenance providers, aerospace parts traders, and drone technology firms. The complex is expected to be completed by Q2 of 2026.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, noted the rising interest from companies in the aviation maintenance and component sectors, particularly MROs. “The demand for aviation-related services has grown significantly, and with the upcoming completion of Al Maktoum International Airport, we anticipate even greater interest. MBRAH is well-positioned to accommodate this with state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure,” he said.
MBRAH serves as a free-zone destination tailored for global aerospace leaders, including airlines, private jet operators, and aviation service providers. Beyond commercial activities, it also hosts maintenance centres, educational campuses, and engineering hubs.
By continuously investing in advanced aviation infrastructure, MBRAH aligns with Dubai’s broader vision to become a global capital for aerospace and innovation-driven industries.
