The UAE Tour Women 2025 cycling event, which is set to take place on Friday, February 21, will lead to the closures of some roads across Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced today.
A few roads will be temporarily closed for 10 to 15 minutes to make way for participants who will set off at 12.30 PM from the American University in Dubai.
They will be heading towards Sheikh Zayed Road, passing through Al Naseem Street, Al Khail Road, Al Jamayel Street, and Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, before reaching the finish line opposite Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, which covers a total distance of 160 km.
The RTA recommends that drivers take alternative routes like Ras Al Khor Road and Emirates Road until the event is over. Motorists are also encouraged to plan their routes ahead of time and depart early to ensure a hassle-free journey.
