Saudi Central Bank Announces Launch Of Government Banking Services Platform “Naqd”

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) announced the launch of the government banking services platform “Naqd”, which allows government agencies to access their accounts at the Central Bank with ease and convenience, in addition to conducting financial transactions through a secure digital platform.
This step comes within the framework of the Central Bank’s strategy to provide banking services to government agencies and support digital development, as it will contribute to digitizing financial transaction services for government agencies on their accounts at the Saudi Central Bank, under a unified and secure digital platform, and also facilitate access to their account information around the clock, and manage these accounts, in addition to immediate follow-up of operations carried out to and from government agencies’ accounts.
The platform aims to provide electronic banking services that support government financial transactions, in a way that enhances the user experience and raises the level of efficiency and productivity in financial transactions using the latest technologies, and contributes to reducing the time required to implement government banking procedures.
