Moon-Sighting to Confirm Eid Date
The official date for Eid Al Fitr will be determined on Saturday evening when the UAE’s moon-sighting committee gathers after Maghrib prayers to observe the Shawwal crescent. The UAE’s Fatwa council has also urged residents to take part in moon-sighting. Depending on this, Eid will either fall on Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31, 2025. Once confirmed, the announcement will mark the beginning of extravagant celebrations.

Special Eid Al Fitr prayers will take place early in the morning, following Fajr prayers. The prayer timings, which remain consistent regardless of whether Eid falls on March 30 or 31, are as follows:
