Emirates Signs 8 Strategic MoUs At Arabian Travel Market 2025 To Boost Global Tourism

Emirates Airlines has signed eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on the first day of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, underscoring its commitment to enhancing global tourism and strengthening its extensive network of over 140 destinations. The agreements were made with the Tourism Boards of Sharjah, the Philippines, the Maldives, VisitBritain, Thailand, Japan National Tourist Organisation (JNTO), Uganda, and Hungary.​

Sharjah: Joint Promotion of Tourism

Emirates and the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) have partnered to promote tourism and increase visitor arrivals to Sharjah. The collaboration includes joint promotional activities, bespoke packages for tour operators, and cross-promotional marketing campaigns aimed at encouraging visitors to explore Sharjah as part of their UAE holiday.​

The Philippines: Enhancing Inbound Tourism

Emirates and the Department of Tourism Philippines aim to boost inbound tourism, particularly from the Middle East and Europe. The partnership will focus on joint marketing and advertising efforts, as well as organizing familiarization trips for media and key tourism stakeholders from European and Middle Eastern markets.​

Maldives: Attracting More Visitors

Emirates and the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation have joined forces to attract more visitors to the Maldives. The collaboration includes joint advertising campaigns, familiarization trips, customized travel packages, and support for the development of business and trade opportunities in the Maldives.​

VisitBritain: Boosting Inbound Tourism to the UK

Emirates and VisitBritain have signed a declaration of intent to enhance inbound tourism to the UK. The partnership will involve joint promotions, familiarization trips for media and travel agents, and support for other promotional activities to increase travel demand to various UK cities, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.​

Thailand: Promoting Thailand as a Premier Destination

Emirates and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) have established a strategic partnership to promote Thailand as a premier destination. The collaboration includes joint advertising campaigns, familiarization trips for key media representatives, and joint efforts with travel agents and tour operators to offer promotional packages and incentives across Emirates’ key markets.​

Japan: Strengthening Tourism Relations

Emirates and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) have pledged support to grow tourism demand between Japan and the Middle East. The partnership will include data sharing, joint analyses, and potential promotional campaigns to drive awareness and visitation to Japan.​

Uganda: Renewed Partnership to Boost Tourism

Emirates and the Uganda Tourism Board have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding for 2025. The focus is on driving inbound tourism to Uganda, with initiatives including familiarization trips for trade partners, hoteliers, travel agency partners, and tour operators to market the destination worldwide.​

Hungary: Joint Marketing Efforts

Emirates and Visit Hungary have signed an agreement to boost inbound tourism to Hungary. The collaboration includes joint marketing and advertising campaigns to showcase Hungary’s touristic appeal, as well as organizing familiarization trips for media and travel agents to increase travel demand to Budapest.​
