On October 30, Eastern Spain faced flash flooding, hitting Valencia and Andalusia. The recent updates show that the rain that has fallen in Chiva, a town near Valencia, is worth a year of rain.

The latest updates show that at least 62 people have been killed from the flooding.

People spent the night on top of their cars waiting to get rescued. Trains and flights have been heavily impacted by the weather conditions, and cancellations are happening. 1000 troops have been deployed in the area to help with rescue operations.  More than 100,000 households are completely out of electricity.

Pedro Sanchez, the Spanish Prime Minister, is warning citizens about the conditions and telling them to be careful. People from Valencia, Andalusia, and Catalonia should be taking precautions in case of any issues happening in their provinces.

Sanchez emphasized that he won’t let his people down, as he said, “We won’t abandon you.”
