‘Hand In Hand’: UAE President Declares 2025 As The Year Of Community

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi has officially designated 2025 as the ‘Year of Community’ in the UAE, calling on residents from all walks of life to contribute to strengthening the nation’s social fabric.

Under the slogan ‘Hand in Hand,’ the initiative aims to foster unity, encourage shared responsibility, and drive inclusive and sustainable development. Announcing the same on social media, Sheikh Mohamed penned, “Hand in hand we will work to strengthen social bonds, foster shared responsibility, and unlock potential for inclusive and sustainable growth.”

His X post read, “I am pleased to announce 2025 as the Year of Community in the UAE. To all those who call the UAE home, I encourage you to think ambitiously and act boldly in contributing towards improving your community and ensuring that our nation remains an inspiring model of progress and prosperity.”

Meanwhile, his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, wrote, “The declaration of 2025 as the Year of Community highlights our priorities for the future: strengthening social bonds and fostering unity across society. The foundation of our nation’s strength lies in a united community, where individuals are connected, and care is extended to each other. A strong community thrives on a fortified families, and lays the groundwork for a brighter future for generations to come.”
