As per the articles that fall under the UAE Cabinet, the government has the power to change the dates of public holidays (except for Eid holidays) if they think it’s a good idea.
They can move these holidays to the beginning or end of the week. This means that instead of a holiday being on a Tuesday, for example, they could move it to Monday or Sunday.
Also, If a public holiday falls on a weekend (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) or if it’s already the same day as another public holiday, the government cannot change its date.
