The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. The charges pertain to alleged war crimes committed during ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon, where Israel is engaged in military operations against Hamas and Hezbollah, respectively.
Charges Against Hamas Leader
The ICC has also indicted Hamas’s military head, Mohammed Deif, as a war criminal and issued an arrest warrant for his involvement in the conflict.

In its official statement, the ICC clarified:
“The Chamber issued warrants of arrest for two individuals, Mr Benjamin Netanyahu and Mr Yoav Gallant, for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed from at least 8 October 2023 until at least 20 May 2024, the day the Prosecution filed the applications for warrants of arrest.”
