After quite the buzz, Jaguar has revealed a concept design for its next generation of electric vehicles. The “Copy Nothing” rebrand marks a key step in Jaguar’s shift towards an all-electric future. The concept car comes in two striking colors: Type 00 in London Blue and Miami Pink.
The London Blue variant honors the iconic Opalescent Silver Blue of the 1960s E-type, while the Miami Pink version pays homage to the city’s pastel hues and Art Deco architecture. As seen on social media, the car features a design with no rear window, suggesting that cameras may be used to display rear-view footage to the driver.
But wait, the internet seems divided, as many flock to share their opinions. One user said on X, “Jaguar created the most beautiful car in history, then created the ugliest to make the beautiful one look even better next to it.” Another asked, “Well, all the hype was for this?”
However, many also lauded the concept, calling it a bold and innovative step. Some highlighted how the clean, straight lines and futuristic approach embrace a unique and daring style.
This comes shortly after a new ad campaign grabbed all the attention last week, titled “Copy Nothing,” featuring models in extravagant outfits. The campaign received a large wave of criticism on social media, with some calling it a “joke.”
Notably, the ad didn’t feature the car itself, leading Tesla CEO Elon Musk to question, “Do you sell cars?” In response to the backlash, Jaguar’s managing director, Rawdon Glover, defended the campaign in an interview with the Financial Times, attributing the criticism to “vile hatred and intolerance.”
