Jota Keeps Liverpool On Top

Crystal Palace hosted the Reds in the first game of the fixtures. Arne Slot admitted that Selhurst Park is a tough stadium to visit in the pre-match press conference. Cody Gakpo took his place in the starting 11 and proved himself worthy after he assisted the game’s only goal that was scored by Diogo Jota in the ninth minute, and the game finished 1-0. Liverpool took a hard hit as Alisson limped out of the game injured on the 79th minute of the game, and Vitezslav Jaros took his place to earn his Premier League debut.

Andreas Pereira scored the first goal to give the London team the lead, but Mateo Kovacic decided to rise to the occasion to strike back for the Citizens not once but twice to make it 2-1. Until the 82nd minute, Fulham were giving City a tough time, but Doku managed to secure the win with a goal. The game ended 3-2 as Rodrigo Muniz grabbed a goal in the 88th minute, but Fulham weren’t able to get a comeback.

Havertz and Saka Help Arsenal Once Again

Arsenal and Southampton met at the Emirates Stadium in a match that witnessed four goals, all in the second half. Arsenal was the dangerous team throughout the game, but Southampton managed to score first in the 55th minute as the substitute Cameron Archer gave the lead to his team. Kai Havertz didn’t wait long to make the Gunners even, as he scored a goal three minutes later to make it 1-1. Arsenal’s wingers didn’t disappoint their manager, Mikel Arteta, as Gabriel Martinelli scored the second goal for the Gunners in minute 68, and Bukayo Saka secured the win during the final minutes.
